We recently chatted with Aymee, business owner and chocolatier extraordinaire at Cocoa Nib Chocolates. Here’s what she had to say…
What do you love most about being part of the Junction Fair community?
For me, it’s the genuine relationships with regulars who pop in just to say hello.
What made you choose Junction Fair as the home for your business?
We first started our business in The Junction at The Olive Tree markets so opening a store in The Junction felt like coming home.
What keeps Cocoa Nib Chocolates rooted in The Junction?
Our customers, and so many of them have been with us from the very beginning.
How would you describe the vibe at Junction Fair to someone visiting for the first time?
Relaxed and friendly.
What makes the Junction Fair community different?
For me, I think it’s the fact that many businesses are owner-operated. From the moment you step inside their shop you can feel that sense of pride in every detail.
What’s your favourite moment in a typical day at Cocoa Nib Chocolates?
Serving our morning coffee regulars would have to be my favourite! Each day brings a smile, a story or an update about their life. Sometimes we surprise customers with one of our imperfect bonbons that can’t be sold and their faces light up! Chocolate and coffee really do bring people together.
Is there anything new or exciting coming up that you’d love to share with the Junction Fair community?
We are starting to make Birthday and Celebration cakes!
This is something we have been asked to do time and time again since we first opened our doors. We are so excited to bring this to the community. Cakes can be ordered with four days’ notice, and we have a variety of flavours to choose from. They’re all beautiful, unique … and delicious!
